U23 Summer Camps

Summer in Seattle provides the ideal opportunity for nationally competitive athletes to train at a more individualized level. Our U23 developmental summer programs offer athletes the opportunity to develop their competitive rowing skills in an athlete-centered, small boat environment.

LTRD offers several developmental summer programs for the nationally competitive athlete - Small Boat Development and Racing Skills.

Small Boat Development is a two-week camp focusing on the development of each athlete's skill and speed in small boats.  Individualization of the process to meet the developmental goals of each athlete is prioritized within this two-week session.

Racing Skills is a single week camp with each day targeting a specific element of the racing process to improve.  Video capture/review is a focus of the daily process.

The daily schedule will include warm-ups, rowing instruction and practice (on land or water) and land-based team/strength building activities.  NB: Safety is our number one consideration.  Scullers should be prepared to row on land should conditions prove un-rowable.

Nutritional refueling session after every practice!
