High School Small Boat Camps
Summer is great time to take the time for some personal DEVELOPMENT, both on and off the water. Our youth developmental summer programs offer athletes the opportunity to develop their rowing skills in an athlete-centered, small boat environment.
Our U19 Small Boat Camps are ideal for the experienced youth athlete on the competitive pathway. This camp will push you out of your comfort zone in both skill and fitness. Through the use of small boats, every athlete will get the chance to experience both success and failure on the water as they pursue their next big challenge as a competitive rower. Prepare for your next Fall season by honing your skills with us this summer!
Our Fall Prep Camps feature guest head coach Aidan O'Sullivan, Assistant Coach for Holy Names Academy. In addition to his experience coaching NW Regionals Champion and Youth National medalist crews, Aidan is a former youth national rowing champion himself. His experience in the Seattle rowing scene extends back 13 years, from learning the sport in middle school, to rowing competitively in high school, a brief stint training as an elite, and now rowing recreationally as a master. After rowing with both novices, Olympians, and everyone in between, he has a deep passion for the long term, sustainable athlete growth and the joy that comes from hard work with friends.
All activities and practices four our U19 Small Boat Camps will be grounded in the following 4 tenants:
The foundation of this sport is the hard work that goes into it.
With a focus on body awareness and an eye towards injury prevention, these camps take a wholistic approach to ensure athlete progress and long term success.
Athletes are trained in a solution-oriented vocabulary to optimally solve the many unique problems they face each day in their boats.
